Our house in Meung.  They built a garage in the back and put in a driveway where Mom's garden and our kiddie pool used to be.

This is what the street looks like when you're standing in front of the house.  All the fields are gone and there are houses everywhere, in all directions.

This is the Chateau from the direction of the street that we used to ride down to go to the village.  The woods were next door and then the blacksmith's shop.

The Chateau at Meung was built in two phases, and has two faces.  The last picture was the newer side, and this picture is the medieval side.  It stood derelict for until about 30 years ago, when they decided to restore it.  This chateau has a dungeon that you can visit, complete with torture chamber. 

Central France, which is very flat, has many mustard fields that bloom in the springtime.  The French love their mustard.

Joan of Arc (or Jeanne D'Arc as she's known in France) was the savior of Orleans during the war to restore the rightful heir to the throne of France.  The square in the center of town has a statue of her and a beautiful double decker carousel.
